..that you have written yourself. When I was younger, getting a handwritten letter was like winning the lottery or Christmas morning to me. Even now, sometimes I will find a letter that was handwritten and sent by snail-mail to me, and it is one of my most precious feelings. I get a similar feeling when I send something. Sending notes and cards is still a very important practice to me. I hope it is a custom I will always employ.
In these days of e-mail, text messages, and Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest etc), getting a handwritten note is almost obsolete. I am going to encourage you to choose to send someone a handwritten note of encouragement, thanks or just a simple hello. Just show someone that you are thinking about them.
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea to write or receive – anything, so why not choose something heartfelt that you think that person would enjoy or appreciate.
See how sharing your thoughts with someone else without pressing a key makes you feel. You might even find yourself on the receiving end of someone else’s handmade gift!
I am taking part in the Write 31 Days Challenge.
