Missing

Missing – Poem by Noemi Lee

I did not personally
lose someone on
that dreadful day.

But something in us died.

It crashed into a building
It jumped out of a window
It had the build fall on top of it.

And it died.

I miss it.

So much.

I remember the clothes I wore to work that morning. MS has eaten holes into some of my memories…but not that one.

It’s Impossible

111neverfogetAs long as you were old enough to understand what happened¬† – you will never forget.¬† Days later I couldn’t close my eyes without seeing those planes, and those buildings. I came back home on that weekend and – it was different. A city with 8 million people was feasibly different.¬† I guess life changed for us all that day.

How could we forget?
